Privacy Policy
1. What this is
BizLedger is a private, internal tool run by RV Technology Consulting ("RV Tech") on its own computer for the bookkeeping of businesses owned by its principal. It is not available to the public, and it has no customers or user accounts.
2. How it connects to QuickBooks
The tool connects to QuickBooks Online through Intuit's OAuth 2.0 sign-in and requests the accounting permission. The operator approves the connection on Intuit's own screen. The tool makes read requests only; it never creates, edits or deletes QuickBooks data.
3. What data it reads
Accounting records such as journal entries, purchases and financial reports, and the QuickBooks company identifier, for the operator's own companies only.
4. Where data is stored
Only on the operator's own Windows computer, in a local database. The app's secret and the OAuth tokens are encrypted with Windows data protection (DPAPI), and the database is protected by that Windows account. Nothing is stored on this website or on any server RV Tech operates.
5. This website
This website collects no personal information, sets no cookies and runs no analytics or third-party scripts. The web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, time and page requested) for these information pages only.
6. Sharing
RV Tech does not sell, share or disclose QuickBooks data to any third party, and does not use it for advertising.
7. Retention and revoking access
Records already downloaded stay in the local archive until the operator deletes them. Disconnecting the app in QuickBooks revokes its access immediately (see Disconnecting).
8. Intuit
Intuit's own privacy statement governs how Intuit handles data within QuickBooks.
9. Children
This tool and website are not directed at children.
10. Changes and contact
